The education curriculum in African schools
The word “curriculum” was initially used to cover all activities connected with school learning: teacher education; teaching and learning materials development; design of the document consisting of the objectives of instruction called “syllabus”; design of school buildings; design of science laboratories; lesson time-table plan; school inspection activities and all other critical activities connected with education in a country.

The colonial economies of Africa
The slant is that in all things, there is the need for preliminary introspection; asking questions about the role one played for the barriers and challenges to emerge in the first place; secondly, asking questions on the preparedness of the individual, society or country to counter the effects of existing challenges; and thirdly making plans and marshalling resources to keep the development process in constant motion.
